Joining the sisterhood of churches of the General Conference of Seventh Day Adventist.

We are Seventh Day Adventist from the area, and we do our best to worship God following the patterns of the Lords' temptation in the wilderness. What most people know about us is that we do not eat meat. That is partly true. We are mostly vegetarians. But if we are not, we do not eat pork, shrimps, osters, crabs, frog legs, and all those forbidden foods of Leviticus 11. Words that proceeded out of the mouth of God. We do not adorn ourselves with jewelry and our dresses are not revealing. We are nice and decent dignified people and we like you to join us. We are honest, hard working, educated, clean, responsible, Godly people. We follow the Bible and study it daily to make sure whatever we believe and preach can be found in several passages of the Bible. We have five cardinal believes which somehow sets us apart from any other religious faith who believes in Jesus Christ as God, Lord and Savior. Before I tell you about the 5 majors, we baptize by emersion that means no baby baptism Mark 16:16 ,and we wash our feet before partaking in Communion Service. John 13:14,15.
The 5 majors are these:
1. We keep the Sabbath which Jesus kept. The 7th day Sabbath. It begins from sunset on Friday to sundown on Saturday. We do no work, no shopping, no business, no going to the mall, no school. We spend the whole day with God. Exodus 20:8-11 and Revelation 14:7.
2. We believe Jesus Christ is in the Heavenly Sanctuary pleading on our behalf and praying for us, representing us at the Fathers judgment hall where judgment is going on right now. We call it the investigative judgment believing that when Jesus will come , he will have finished his judgment and will be bringing the rewards to everyman according as his works shall be. Hebrews 8:1-6; Revelation 22:12.
3. We believe that we do not live only once. That when we die, we shall remain in the grave until Jesus comes. And we shall then be resurrected to go to heaven with him. We call this doctrine 'State of the Dead'. John 5:25 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
4. We believe that Jesus is coming again. It will be physical, visible and worldwide. We call this the second coming. Revelation 1:7 ; John 14:1-3.
5. We believe in the Three Angels messages as found in the book of Revelation 14:6-12. The answer that Jesus gave to Satan is found in the first Angels message. Worship the creator. That Babylon which is a religio-political organization is fallen and people are warned to get away from it and join the true church to escape from destruction.We believe that the third angels warning identifies those who will be in Hell Fire as the ones who do not have a rest day or night, they are folks identified as devil worshippers who will receive the mark of the beast. The Scriptures identify only the Sabbath as a 24 hour in time with both a Rest Night (Friday night) and a Rest Day (Saturday Day time until sunset). The scriptures are plain and refusal to live according to the dictates of the Holy Spirit could not be an acceptable excuse on Judgment Day. Keeping the 4th Commandment Sabbath (written by the finger of God) is a wise decision. Be Blessed.

My friend, there is something better than the kingdom, and higher than happiness; higher than the highest. It is the glory of God. Admit no possession, no joy, no priviledge, no honor, temporal or spiritual, which does not, in some way or other, bring glory to God. "Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shall thou serve.' Stop worshipping people no matter who they are, their positions or wealth. And please, when people begin to worship you, remind them that you are just an earthy instrument in the hands of God. All Glory, Honor and Adoration belongs only to God the Creator. As our Lord's life is the pattern of every life, so is His temptation the type of every temptation presented to everyman born into the world. Temptation is inducement to sin; and sin is failure to do our duty to God, whatever that duty may be. Worship God. Look for His will for your life. You may not agree with His will for your life but persevere to follow through with it. That is the only way you will find joy and fulfilment in this world. Do your best to do what is pleasing in His sight. You may not be popular or be accepted by the Status quo, but no one will save you into the Kingdom but God Himself. No one can recommend you to God. You are saved by Grace and because of your gratitude for salvation you keep his commandments and do what is pleasing in his sight.
Are you tempted and tried? Do you feel you are struggling too hard with no hope in sight? You need power to hold on to Jesus. We all need that grace and peace that passeth all understanding.

Victory Church is a self supporting ministry that came out of Newplant Seventh Day Adventist Church of Benton Harbor. Newplant was started by the Holy Spirit through the relentless effort of Pastor Divine Ayivor,Mercy Ayivor, Jessica Ayivor, Jedidiah Ayivor and Jasmin Ayivor. Pastor Divine was then a seminary student at Andrews Theological Seminary. They planted Newplant in December of 2003 to host the Crusade for Pioneer Memorial Church,the following year. Pastor Divine lead 16 other seminarians in their field school, a needed requirement for graduation.Pastor Divine Ayivor, a seasoned Pastor who had planted two other Seventh Day Adventist churches in New York City worked very hard among the poor of Benton Harbor Preaching, mentoring, delivering appliances to single mothers, paying bills for emergencies; and all PMC worked hard with him, until he completed his term at Newplant and moved on to start Victory Church. The nucleus was the Ayivor family, Tonie Doswell, Donel Wimberley, Monica Doswell, the Lewis family, Beckie Davies, Eureka Perry, Kalina Bennerman and a few others. We began our worship services at 553 Columbus which was a boarded up house, then we rented a Sunday church at 693 Columbus and now we are at 1870 Union Street as guest of the Covenant Christian Church. This is our Fifth with only 25 baptisms. Attendance right now is between 20 - 40 on Sabbaths. Dr. Divine Ayivor encourages all seminary graduates out there with no calls to start a self supporting ministry. According to Ellen G. White "There ought to be thousands at work in the cities, laboring intelligently. Not all these workers should look to the conference for support. They should seek to make their work self-supporting." Manuscript Releases, Vol. 9,p.310. No animousity with the Conference or the Organized work. Read also Luke 9:49-50."And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name: and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him. Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us." Remember, GOD CALLED YOU, always remember that. DO NOT GIVE UP ON GOD, HE HAS BEEN TOO GOOD TO YOU, TO LET HIM DOWN. TRUST HIM, and He will help you minister for Him. Matthew 9:37-38;"Then saith he unto his disciples. The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest". MATTHEW 10:32-33 "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Luke 9:62 "And Jesus said unto him. No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.Look at this caution in 1 Corinthians 7:20 "Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called". You cannot change your calling and have peace. Your life will experience untold difficulties.
We are Seventh Day Adventists from different churches in the area who feel the call of Jesus Christ to preach the gospel in this part of the vineyard.

Please get busy about your Father's business, if He is truly your Father.Just going to church and returning tithes and offerings is not good enough. Read Matthew 25:31-46;5:20. We are in the last days. Jesus is coming soon. He needs more soldiers on the battle field.

Let God be involved in every aspect of our lives.

And serve the Lord. Joshua 24:14-15.

Make the effort and allow the Holy Spirit to use you in whatever way the Lord chooses.John 14:12-15
